So I dont know how many of you read this at alll...sometimes i feel like I'm talking to a wall, but i talk to no one all the time so i guess its okay.
I'm training for a half marathon in May, and I'm so excited about it.
But i added this new widget that you can view on the side in case you want to see how my training is going! haha, this is pretty much for my dad to see but i guess I'll just share it with everyone.
Oh, and you can "send motivation" i dont really know what you have to do but it looks like it would make me smile :)

Truth Is...
I should be studying for calculus right now because i have a test tuesday night, but i have like 2 days still to do that!
Anyway, I just wanted to update on how fantastic my spring break was with out a drop of alcohol or ray of hot sunshine (like how many other peoples included).
Looking back right now, the reason I am in such bliss right now is just because my break was so...so...maybe i'll think of a word soon.
I didn't have any stress, anger, annoyance, dread or any other negative feelings that I usually have here (at school). I enjoyed being with my family, and its not like we splurged! Of course we went out to dinner a few nights, but one night my mom and I (kinda) made chili together and another night I made pesto for everyone, we had quality family time together (well, actually, most of the times my brother wasnt there). I really meant to get a family picture, I dont know why, I just wanted one, but I never did. Well, we will for Easter! Because thats a good excuse.
I got to take my doggie for a cool down walk after I ran and got to snuggle with my kitty every night.
It was just awesome, I needed that. I enjoyed watching tv with my family and just enjoying those strange and funny conversations we always have. It makes me excited for summer even more, even though the summer wont be nearly as relaxing due to swimming, work, and a class I'll have to take.
And not to mention I got to see my real friends! Hailie and I went to the Wilderness in the Dells, which was fun, we get in for free so its always relaxed when we go, and Hailie and I laughed our butts off making a dancing music video. OH! And i got reunited with a few of my backpacking buddies and we went to Mickies Dairy Bar for breakfast. Which meeting people I havent seen in a while for breakfast is probably one of my favorite things to do. Patty and I got to go to state street (which i missed terribly!!) and hang out a lot too.
I dont even remember what day I left off on and I dont really remember all that I did but I guess I'll start and go backwards. I went to the Mummies of the World Exhibit at the Milwaukee Public Museum! Oh my gosh, I've been waiting to go to that for months. And it was cool. I got shivers and freaked out when I really looked at some of them, but it was still good. Bog mummies are the weirdest. Then, I found this Cafe Lulu's with my Yelp! App for iPhone (insert commercial here) but it was super cute, little brunch bar place, like Mickies. Saturday Hailie and I went to the Wilderness, then my family and I putzed around at the mall then went to eat at the Shish Cafe. I did not like my food. I stepped out of the box and ordered a vegan sample platter and only liked the falafel and the hummus. (and there were 3 other things on my plate). But that was okay because I had filled up on pita, lentil soup, and the appetizer we ordered. My parents liked their food a lot, I just picked the wrong thing.
The rest of it is a blur but i went running around with my mom one day hmm...
thursday:made dinner then went to go get new running shoes but the store was closed so we went the next day,
friday: i got the running shoes, then went to dinner at sprekers! and then went to the mall with hailie
you dont have to read all that stuff, actually no one has to read any of this, I kinda just keep it for me
Hopefully I'm in this good mood for a while, I'll hold on to the hope of my next visit to keep me happy here.
It was just nice, being around the people who make me feel whole.

Well...Shoot.

I really wish I blogged more. I mean I do a lot, believe me, but I have a private blog and a journal and those arent seen to everyone. I'm going to try my hardest to blog more on here.
I guess I can just talk about how my spring break is going so far.
Well i guess it started on friday when I delofted my bed (best idea ever) and my mom had to help me move out my futon and table since i dont have room anymore, oh well it was totally worth it. Then we went to the Milwaukee Ale (house? bar?) Idk, i got cod tacos and those were sooo good. My room mate for next year recommended it and she did not lie! We didnt get home til later in the day so my family and I went out to eat at granite city then putzed around at the mall :) without my brother though :/ ive barely even seen him this break. He left for new york today and didnt go out when me and my mom and my dad went out so I barely got to see him this break. Anyway, then I watched Robin Hood with my family because my dad has a man crush on russle crowe and I promised him I'd see it with him when it was in theaters and i never did, it was good! he's a badass. We only watched half of it tho because i got to be late. Oh and I made banana bread with choco chips that day. Its gone now. It was super good :)
Saturday my dad my mom and my foster baby went to costco and target and MAN how much i love when my parents take me to cosco! I got a 55 pack package of oatmeal! its gonna last me the rest of the semester!! And i got a 48 pack of granola bars! ahh like a college kids heaven. On the way home was kinda bad tho...as we were pulling into our drive way I was checking twitter and I saw a few tweets that said, "rip madi" "we'll miss you madi", shocked and kinda starting to get worried, I quickly checked facebook and went to Madi Aiello's wall... It has just been a few hours since it happened and people had already found out and were writing on her wall with the sweetest things to say. I just broke down. I couldnt believe it.
So pretty much ever since i found out that news I've been a bit down. I went off facebook for a while because I couldn't figure out how people could have statuses about stupid stuff or pictures of other stuff when a young, beautiful girl had just died. It made me mad. Plus, I kept going to her page and looking through all her pictures and crying too. I just decided a break from facebook would be better.
My dad and I went for a run though afterwards, it helped me clear my head a little bit. It was fun. My dad kinda made a race with me. He said that it takes him about 17 minutes to run to woodland and division. My goal was i was going to run for 17 minutes, go farther, then turn around and try to catch him. Well... a 35 minute run isnt really enough for someone who is training for a half marathon! So i decided to challenge myself even more...I ran for 19 minutes, then turned around. (ps i made it to division in 12 minutes 20 seconds and my dad later told me it only took him 16 mins 30 seconds). Well, on my way back i decided that it didnt take 17 minutes for my dad to run to division, and that i had just added on 4 minutes on my time and I was not going to be able to catch him :( But I did find him after wards because he always takes my dog for his cool down, so I caught up with him then.
After that, I went to Jeremy's house to watch the badger game, it was fun watching a badger game with badgers. There isnt much school spirit at milwaukee.
Sunday I went to church, saw a bunch of people I enjoy seeing, i dont really remember what we did for lunch but my dad and I ordered imperial garden for dinner then watched the rest of Robin Hood. He had to get up really early for a flight on monday so he didnt get to stay up too late.
By monday, It was pretty much just me, my mom and the baby since my brother had school. Patty came and picked me up and we ran around and got to see eachother for the longest time in a long time :)
Tuesday my mom took me running around and we went to the bank, she had to get her nails done, then we went to marshalls and then our foster baby's adoptive parents came over to see him. My mom was sad, but hes in a good home now! He was a sweet heart. Then Hailie came over ! :) And we did what we always do, lay around and do nothing but have a really fun time. We ended up making a music video to Lady Gaga's born this way, WHICH GOT BLOCKED ON YOUTUBE! mad mad mad. oh well, it was so much fun.
Then I stayed up until 2 am editing it, then I woke up at 7:30 to got to breakfast with my backpacking buddies :) We went to mickies dairy bar, there was nothing vegan in site so I cheated a little, but thats okay. It was so nice reconnecting with them, little things like that just make my week. Then I came home around 11 and slept til 2:30 :) Who knows whats gonna happen now, I'm enjoying going with the flow though and not being a slave to swimming! :)

College Update part 2: Post Swimming
Well, updating didn't go as well as I planned but i have much more free time now that swimming is over.
This semester my classes are a bit different. I'm taking Chemistry, Calculus, Creative Writing, 1960's American Culture and French. Chemistry was going fine until recently and I have no idea what we are talking about now. I have our second test on monday...oh shoot...better get on that. Calculus is DUMB, I'm so frustrated with the fact that I have to take that class to be a vet. "Oh kitty your paw is bleeding? Hold on, let me find the double derivative of this function to see if the graph is concave up or down..." No. Good thing I have a really good tutor or I would be so lost. Creative writing is ridiculous as well. Its so boring, I have to keep telling myself that I'd rather have a boring class than a hard class but we introduced ourselves for the first couple WEEKS. Oh man, and i just bought the book for the class yesterday because he never assigned anything. My American Culture class is probably the coolest though. We're learning about civil rights and different ethnic group's fights for rights and the vietnam war, its very interesting. Then french is french...snooty french teachers who constantly complain about American students being rude (for yawning, wearing coats, hats, saying "what?" instead of "excuse me?" etc)
One thing that has definitely been a highlight lately is that I just sealed the deal on getting a house next year! I'm going to be living with my friend Heidi (who i was really close with in high school, she swam) and Heidi's suite mate this year, Dana. I'm SO EXCITED. Just every time i have a complaint in my head about living in the dorms, i just think about my house next year and get super excited. I wish furniture and decoration shopping wasn't such a hunt, though. Its going to be fun, I definitely have a bit of my mom's knack for decorating rooms, and I'm excited. AND my cat is going to be living with me :) Thats going to make me so happy. Its $25 a month to keep her, which i think is kinda a rip off but i need her. I really want a ball python and if i dont have to pay monthly for that I might get one of those too because my dad wont "let me have one in his house"
So...How did your first season of swimming go?
Well, it was hard. Very very very hard. But now that i dont have it, i wish i did. But i wish the practices were easier and we didnt have meets haha. I wasnt really thrilled with my end of the season swims (which were supposed to be the best) but i hear that happens to a lot of freshman and that it will get better. I've only been without swimming for 3 days now and I already feel bloated and bored. I was going to go running today, but it snowed >.<
As for being a "normal college student" I'm already hating it. Now i know why people watch full seasons of tv shows in days and play video games so much. Im going crazy. I need to do something to schedule myself instead of putting off all my homework for tomorrow...good thing spring training starts in 3 weeks!
Well, i dont really know what else to say...if you have questions about something i can add it!
